![]() ![]() The campaign right now is in a pre-order phase so it wont apply to the 2 hours/2 weeks aspect however if there are any sneaky consumables garnered from owning the campaign now which can be used in MP, you may lose your entitlement even if you don't exceed the refund parameters when the campaign is released. If you play the MP for over 2 hours AFTER owning the campaign then you can't refund. IMO, you should only use the refund policy for games that you know you want to get and they turn out to be either terrible or not properly functional. If you go and do this with tons of other titles, you will likely get flagged as abusing the system. What if i purchase the Campaign now i can't refund it anymore after it's released because i have 8 hours in MP ? No. The refund policy, AFAIK, is not meant to be a 'try before you buy' feature. ![]() Halo Infinite's Campaign is listed as DLC and 60 bucks and it will release on December 8th. The MP launched on November 15h and is Free 2 Play. Halo Infinite's MP is free, i already put like 8 hours in it. Third-party developers will have the option to enable refunds for in-game items on these terms. You don't have to worry about that with this game. Steam will offer refund for in-game purchases within any Valve-developed games within forty-eight hours of purchase, so long as the in-game item has not been consumed, modified or transferred. "Consumed" means items granted in game by the purchase of the DLC like special operator skins or free weapons. Originally posted by my new friend:Playing the MP and/or the campaign for more than 2 hours after you purchase the DLC will put you outside the requirements for a refund. I mean i can't refund it anymore if Master Chief leveled up cuz it says "irreversibly levels up a game character" ?Īlso what does it mean to be "consumed" for a DLC ? For the player to finish it ? so if i play 1 hour and a half and Master Chief levels up in Campaign i can't refund the DLC anymore if i don't like it ? These exceptions will be clearly marked as nonrefundable on the Store page prior to purchase. Rather the launcher is the way they ensure the game is patched and up to date. Please note that in some cases, Steam will be unable to give refunds for some third party DLC (for example, if the DLC irreversibly levels up a game character). I doubt Steams refund policy is the reason behind the devs design choices. (STEAM STORE CONTENT USABLE WITHIN ANOTHER GAME OR SOFTWARE APPLICATION, "DLC")ĭLC purchased from the Steam store is refundable within fourteen days of purchase, and if the underlying title has been played for less than two hours since the DLC was purchased, so long as the DLC has not been consumed, modified or transferred.
